Surgical Menopause Support.
You are Not Alone in This
Surgical menopause can feel like everything changed overnight.
One moment, your body is familiar.
The next, you’re navigating a sudden hormonal shift following a hysterectomy or ovary removal, often alongside a diagnosis, recovery, and life continuing around you.
And yet…
So many women are expected to figure it out on their own.
This page, and this space, exists to change that.
What is Surgical Menopause?
Surgical menopause happens when both ovaries are removed, usually as part of a hysterectomy or other gynaecological surgery.
Unlike natural menopause, which happens gradually over time, surgical menopause is immediate.
This means symptoms can feel:
more intense
more sudden
and often more difficult to prepare for
You might be experiencing:
hot flushes and night sweats
fatigue and energy dips
brain fog or reduced concentration
mood changes or anxiety
a shift in identity, confidence, or sense of self
But beyond the symptoms, there’s something else many women notice:
👉 A lack of support that truly reflects this experience.
Why Surgical Menopause Needs Different Support
Most menopause conversations focus on perimenopause and natural transitions.
But surgical menopause is different.
It can involve:
medical trauma or complex diagnoses
fertility loss or unexpected life changes
a sudden shift in how your body feels and functions
returning to work before you’ve had time to adjust
This isn’t just about managing symptoms.
It’s about navigating a whole-life transition.
And you deserve support that recognises that.
Introducing: The Surgical Menopause Club
The Surgical Menopause Club is a supportive, honest community for women navigating life after surgical menopause.
It’s a space where:
you don’t have to explain or justify what you’re feeling
real experiences are shared, not just clinical advice
support is practical, compassionate, and pressure-free
Inside, we focus on:
understanding what’s happening in your body
navigating symptoms in a way that works for you
rebuilding confidence, identity, and trust in yourself
having honest conversations about work, life, and wellbeing
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach.
It’s a space to explore what your version of support looks like.
